There have been mixed feeling of this development, Kinrara Residence by Mahsing. The price for 2 storey link was beyond average middle income earner. The min price for 2 storey link was RM 718,800. 2 storey house more than half a million in year 2010. This is absurd. Property price sky rocket in the past few years. 2 story corner link sold close to a million. What is the cost for 2 story link in 2015 or the next 10 years, 2020 in mature neighbourhood?
The first 20 buyer did queue for real a week before launching. Of course, they can be paid to queue.
This development attracted close to a thousand prospective buyer on the first day of launch, 28/8/2010. 2 story link sold out in the first two hours. Looking forward to the completion of this development. Does price paid matched to the house quality and quality of life it has to offer.
Pictures were taken on 5th December 2010. One would think to get red brick for the sky rocket price. No sign of it anywhere. They seems to be ahead of schedule. I prefer excellent quality with time than time alone.

Time to blog

Almost forget my username and password to this blogger. My only and last post was back in 2007. Many things had happened since then. What was I doing back in 2007? Let see how best my memory can recalled the year 2007. I was working in Mount Sinai as a research coordinator and started my master in public health in September 2007. Inner calling to explore something beyond my comfort zone.

Tough year in 2008. Worked my a** off to pay tuition fees. I should have opt for public university rather than private school but never thought of it during school. The hardwork does pay off now, eyes twinkle when they heard Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York.

2009 was another breakthrough. Lived in New York for about 7 ++ years and done lots of crazy things. Wall street was going downhill and mind struck off to take the challenge and courage to try working in home country. Blast resume out in the south east asia region. Lucky me, I was offer a position without interview. Strange at first thought. Could this be a scam or they just want to fill up the position. Visited the organization with the mindset of exploring and meeting new people. Took me few months to accept their offer.

First few months working in home country was not easy. Lab meeting used to be efficient and productive. In an hour we reviewed 2 articles, solve lab issues and brief members on progress of current project. Now, unit meeting last for 2-3 hours and most of the time repeating pending issues. Guess it's their norm.....

It had been more than a year since I left New York and no regret of returning home country for work. Took me some time to adjust to their work culture but I gained so much in return. Workshop, conferences, consultant, marketing, you named it. After J in MSSM, thought I couldn't find another one but I did. J+J were superb!!! Both were supportive and I have the opportunity to lead and venture at my own pace and leadership. The most important in the scientific community is published articles. Thank GOD for the opportunity and I make it there with a few. Besides excellent career advancement, I met amazing down to earth friends. As I'm writing this only to realize that another unique colleague now friend who's name also started with J. Seems like J and I go on well. Should keep an eye for a J partner.

With so much going on last year, I did another hop recently to try out neighbouring country. Their government pumps in billions to develop their country as a leader in the biomedical research. There were lots of negative perspective on my current SME. Turn over was close to 100%. Another mental struggle of whether to stay or move on. Have an open discussion with boss and HR and decided to give it a shot. Hope this is another blessing in disguise.
